Mystery of Genesis

The beautiful figures developed in The Mystery of Genesis are explored in this hand-made exhibition catalog. In Jiminez Deredia's groupings, there are always 4 figures. For that reason, I use 4 main spreads. Each spread includes an interim vellum that shields the image while the reader is reading the text. The vellum is then pulled across the spread to unveil the image behind it, an action that reiterates the sense of mystery and growth. Throughout the book you will notice a prominent theme of the fleur de leis, the mark of Florence — the location of the installation when I saw it.
